Keltone Records released our first recording. I Won't Be Taken which was the A-Side of the recording. Gary wrote this song while still in high school in Waynesville Missouri. He was very much in love and he had begun to think his girlfriend might be cheating on him.
His secessions actually lead to a break-up. Afterwards he learns his initial reason for concern was not true. He had been lied to. That resulted in the B-Side of our first recording, Who Lied.
Who Lied This was a follow up to the story Gary was telling with I Won't Be Taken. This was 1964 during the time The Beatles were making their appearance in the US. Notice the bass guitar in this recording; especially at the very end. That was Bob Nigg a picker way ahead of his time. Bob is retired today but has played all his live until today.
Thinking of You This was released as our second record with Keltone Records. The President of Kelton Records, Fred Bonamici sang background on both this and the B-Side Remember.
Remember This being the B-Side to our second recording it has a unique history. Gary wrote all four of these songs about a High School girlfriend named Maggie. This was the last song he ever wrote about here. Very fitting.
