Bob started playing in bands in High School. After school Bob joined a band at the Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri and traveled to California. He played bass in a group called the "Poor Boys" professionally managed by Sawtelle and Herring music publishers. Sawtelle and Herring also managed Trini Lopez and Louie Prima and Keely Smith among others. Mickey Dolenz of the Monkees was the drummer in his band until he auditioned for the Monkees.In the 60' s, Bob played in clubs in the Los Angeles and San Francisco areas including The Whiskey a go go LA and SF, PJ's in Santa Monica, Pandora's box LA, Ciro's LA. He has done extra work in TV and movies including in LA, Sam Riddle's 9th Street West (dance and music show), The Lloyd Thaxton show (dance and music show). His recording was on "Rate a Record segment on American Bandstand.Bob played bass in a variety group "The Gary Graham Revue" based in Hawaii. He has played backup for Tex Williams, George Gobel, Lou Rawls. Bob did extra work on Hawaii 50. Bob has toured extensively in the US and abroad including, Hawaii, Guam, Okinawa, Vietnam, Japan, Korea, Taiwan, Johnston Island. Bob has played clubs in Las Vegas, Nevada, Tennessee, New York, New Hampshire, Kansas, Arizona and resorts and clubs in Missouri and at the Lake of the Ozarks.Bob moved to Minnesota and played with Danny Hargrove and the Hangin' Tree (Country, Country rock and variety band) 6 nights a week at Denny's Loft on University Avenue. He has played in a blues trio with local blues bands including Joe Juliano. (joejulianomusic.com).Bob was bandleader for High Sierra Band (Variety music) and played local clubs for 20 years.Bob now resides in Green Valley Arizona from October to April and St. Paul Minnesota for the summer.
